PortMiami Transportation for Families
With children, the transfer is about car seats, stroller space and timing. We supply child seats for $25 each, size the vehicle for your bags and stroller, and track your flight so a delay doesn't cost you anything.
Car seats
Florida law requires children through age 5 to ride in a child restraint, and taxis and rideshares generally do not provide them. We supply child seats at $25 each — tell us each child's age and weight when you book so we bring the right seat (infant, convertible or booster).
Choosing the vehicle
Count suitcases, strollers and car seats, not just people. A family of four with four suitcases and a stroller fits a Chevy Suburban ($245 from MIA); five or six people with bags need the Private Large Van ($216).

Timing with kids
- Fly in the day before — tired kids and a tight connection are a bad mix.
- Pick a check-in time after breakfast but before nap time.
- Keep snacks, swimsuits and medication in a carry-on: checked bags reach the cabin later.
Debarkation with children
Book a flight after 1:00 PM, choose a later debarkation group, and let the chauffeur load bags while you handle the kids.
